Creating with my hands has always been a natural part of who I am. Growing up with limited resources taught me to see creative possibilities in everyday materials and to approach making art with curiosity, resourcefulness, and imagination.
For me, creativity is an act of exploration. It requires a willingness to take risks, embrace uncertainty, and remain open to discovery. While I studied a variety of artistic disciplines over the years, everything changed in July 2022 when I attended an intensive encaustic workshop at Encaustic Camp in Federal Way with Peggy Seggebrucm. During that experience, I discovered a medium that deeply resonated with me and unlocked a new sense of creative freedom.
Today, I work as a mixed media collage and encaustic artist, incorporating cold wax and oil into my practice. My work reflects an ongoing journey of experimentation, learning, and growth as I continue to develop my artistic voice. Every piece, whether successful or challenging, contributes to that evolution and expands my understanding of what is possible.
