Work

Cheryl's work combines encaustic painting with collage and found materials to create richly layered abstract compositions. Every piece is built through a slow process of adding, fusing, scraping, and rebuilding wax, allowing each layer to contribute to the history of the finished work.

Materials often include handmade papers, bark, vintage book pages, sewing patterns, rusted objects, twine, prayer flags, carbon marks, and natural pigments, each selected for its texture and story.
